Where can I find a COSTUME?

Are the sites HANDICAPPED accessible?

Handicapped parking spaces will be available at each site, permits are required for all handicapped parking. Some areas are more accessible than others; many demonstrations will be held in grassy field areas. Handicapped accessible bathrooms are available at all sites.

Will MOLLY THE TROLLEY be available again this year?

Yup, there is just one trolley, by golly.  Rides are just $1 per person per day.  She’s a very sociable old gal and she mingles with everyone so you never quite know when she’ll be along, but she sure is worth the wait!  Once your on, ask the driver which stop is which and where you are.  Hop on or hop off at any of the 4 major site venues and enjoy the scenery.

Please note: There are times when the trolley will be busy with the Stone Arch Bridge Tours and won’t be circling.  Please note those times so you don’t get stranded!

How can I take a STONE ARCH BRIDGE TOUR?

Join us for a special treat as our trolley goes from bridge to bridge to view and learn about the 5 stone arch bridges built by Scottish stone masons who immigrated to the Hillsborough area.  Learn about a bridge that still exists underwater and is visible at certain times of the year only.  Hear tales about Captain Carr, who paid for one of the bridges using counterfeit money.  Enjoy the scenery and explore little known spots of hidden beauty.

Saturday & Sunday:  11 AM and 2:30 PM  Meet at the Jones Road Bridge

Is it true there will be HORSE AND BUGGY RIDES?

Yes!  Check at the Center and Franklin Pierce Homestead for times.
